1. Who we are
Every Shade of Employers (“the App,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by Every Shade of Infertility, LLC. The App helps members find and compare employers' fertility benefits and navigate their family-building journey. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Account information: your first name or display name, email address, and password.
- Profile and journey information: the fertility path(s) you select, what you're looking for, your industry and location preferences, an optional profile photo, and an optional “about you” bio. You choose what to share; these fields are optional beyond what's needed to create your account.
- Content you submit: community posts and replies, reviews you write, corrections or “tips” you submit about employers, and any documents or images you choose to attach.
- Payment information: if you become a paying member, your payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number; we receive only limited information (such as a confirmation, the last four digits, and billing status) needed to manage your membership.
- Communications: messages or feedback you send us.
Information we collect automatically:
- Usage data: screens viewed, features used, and actions taken in the App.
- Device and technical data: device type, operating system, app version, a device identifier, and IP address.
- Anti-abuse signals: we use a combination of your verified email, a device signature, and IP address to enforce limits on free features (such as free unlocks) and to prevent fraud and abuse. These signals are used to prevent the same person from repeatedly resetting free benefits by deleting and recreating accounts.
We collect only what we need to operate the App.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and membership;
- Provide core features (employer search, benefit details, the evaluation tools, community, reviews, referrals, and tips);
- Process payments and manage subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations;
- Personalize your experience (for example, matching employers to the paths you selected);
- Enforce free-feature limits and prevent fraud, abuse, and circumvention;
- Communicate with you about your account, security, and updates (you control marketing notifications in Settings);
- Maintain the safety of our community and review content (posts, reviews, and tips are reviewed before or after publishing);
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Sensitive information
Some information you choose to share — such as the fertility path you're on, or experiences you post in the community — may reveal sensitive details about your health or family-building journey. Sharing this information is always your choice. We never display your selected fertility path on a review you write, and we never publish sensitive details about you that you did not choose to share. Please share only what you are comfortable with, and avoid posting others' personal information.
This App provides peer support and informational tools only. It does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers who help us operate the App — for example, our payment processor, hosting and infrastructure providers, and analytics — under agreements that limit their use of your information to providing services to us.
- Other members, only for content you choose to make public (such as a community post, a review, or your display name and tier frame). Your email, payment details, and private preferences are never shown to other members.
- Legal and safety reasons, if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our members, the public, or us.
- Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
6. The employer benefits database
Information about employers' fertility benefits is compiled from public sources and member reports. It is provided for general informational purposes and may not be complete or current. Always confirm specifics directly with the employer. This database is our proprietary content; it is provided to members for personal use and may not be copied, scraped, redistributed, or resold.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and update: you can view and edit your profile information in the App.
- Notifications: you can control push and email notifications in Settings.
- Account and data deletion: you can delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Account). When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements. Note that anti-abuse signals tied to free-feature limits may be retained to prevent circumvention.
- Marketing: you may opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Region-specific rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, or to object to certain processing). To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@everyshadeofinfertility.com.
8. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We retain limited anti-abuse information as needed to enforce free-feature limits.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The App is intended for adults (18 and older). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International users
We operate in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
